Here is some preliminary ideas for a local Portland fishing company. He wanted me to incorporate the name of course, the state of Oregon and specifically a tuna. His "idea" for the logo made it hard to read, way too busy and just not a great way to display the info. The logo needs to be in 1-color to cut costs so I have to keep that in mind.

The top logo is more like an engraved sign which I think would be great if he were able to ever get a sign done like that to hang. I don't care what anyone says, so what if copperplate gothic is used to much, its too beautiful to ignore in the right settings!

The middle is just more of an elegant look. I kind of see this on a package or even down in Pikes Place Market (which I am from Seattle so I take a lot of my inspiration form there)

And the last logo is inspired by passport stamps. I haven't applied the texture to make it look "stamp" like yet.
